PYP5 STUDENTS – HUMAN MIGRATION
For Week Without Walls 2018, the Qatar Academy Sidra Grade 7 and 8 students visited Space Camp Turkey, in t Izmir, Turkey. Students tried simulators including the Multi Axis Trainer, similar to the one that Neil Armstrong used to train for his Apollo mission to the moon, the 1/6th Gravity Chair, to simulate walking on the moon, and the Hurricane 360 Virtual Reality Simulator, which took students through a simulated space mission experience. For many students, this was their first trip away from home and students drew on all of their ATL skills and Learner Profile attributes to make the most of their learning experiences. Students were open-minded and courageous, resilient, empathetic and helped others to succeed. They represented Qatar Academy Sidra and Qatar Foundation excellently.
