QAS TEAM IS PROUD OF OUR MUSICAL PRODUCTION OF ALADDIN
The QAS team is proud to have brought to you our musical production of Aladdin. The production team consisted of Jacob Spears, Heather Schwaberow, Rory Cleland and Caroline Renaud.
The vision and preparation of Aladdin began in February and the talented cast consisting of 5 primary students and 14 secondary students was announced the second week of September. The cast was dedicated and principled getting into character during many hours of rehearsal. Besides being fun, the students had learning opportunities through dance, movement, music, reading, performance, collaboration and many more. Building self-confidence, empathy, communication, critical thinking and problem solving, self-discipline and teamwork were just some of the skills the participants developed. While the costumes, makeup and stage began to take shape, our gym was being transformed into the land of Agrabans preparing for performances during the first week of December. The stage/props and design was a collaboration of the Arts and Design team made up of Ben Myers, Laressa Manning and Niklas Ageros. Special thanks to Ayah Ragab for her dedication to the production and hours towards CAS.
It was truly a magical carpet ride for all involved and plans for next year’s production have already begun!
