Standardized Testing

Standardized testing is commonly used in the application process for US colleges. Every college has different requirements, but most require students to submit scores from either the SAT or ACT tests, plus perhaps one or more SAT Subject Test scores. Standardized testing is not usually required for application to UK universities.

SAT®

The Scholastic Aptitude Test, or SAT® is a widely recognized US college admissions test that tests your knowledge of reading, writing and mathematics. Almost all colleges and universities in the US require SAT or ACT scores to help them make admission decisions.

The American College Test, or ACT®, is a national college admission examination that assesses high school students’ general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work. It is curriculum focused, and consists of tests in English, Reading, Mathematics, and Science Reasoning, plus an optional writing section.
