Sanad Team (Student Support) PYP and MYP
The Sanad Team at Qatar Academy Sidra is a multidisciplinary student support team dedicated to promoting inclusive education and ensuring that all students have equitable access to learning. The team works collaboratively to support students across academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental areas within the school environment.
The team includes learning support teachers, counselors, psychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, behavior interventionists, grade-level leaders, and assistant principals, all working together to provide a continuum of support for students. Through collaboration with teachers, families, and specialists, the Sanad Team helps identify students in need, determine appropriate interventions and accommodations, and strengthen inclusive practices across the school community.
The goal of the Sanad Team is to identify student needs early, provide the right support at the right time, and ensure students are supported within the least restrictive environment possible. The team supports the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI), with a focus on academic success, student wellbeing, positive behavior support, and social-emotional development so that every student can thrive.
